Jobst Bittner is an evangelical theologian, book author and, together with his wife Charlotte, founder of TOS Ministries. The international ministry includes numerous churches and social outreach ministries in 12 nations served by 70 full-time staff and pastors. Jobst Bittner proclaims the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in his messages and gives prophetic orientation for fundamental questions in this time. As the initiator of March of Life, he has launched a movement that advocates for Israel and against antisemitism worldwide, reaching millions of people every year.

The young couple came to Tübingen more than 30 years ago to study at the university. Praying together with other students, God started speaking to them about planting a church, so they started evangelistic projects and services which in turn birthed TOS Church Tuebingen along with TOS Ministries with its local, national and international branches. Together with the TOS International Board they lead TOS Ministries.

It is Jobst and Charlotte Bittner’s vision to see cities and nations transformed by the power of God’s love. It is their hearts’ desire to meet the needs of the individual in word and deed through the Gospel. Through their ministry thousands have heard the gospel over the past years. They planted 12 churches in Germany and abroad. In five countries of South America they started long term projects for street children, in Belarus and Greece they established successful rehab programs for drug addicts. In Argentina and Bolivia, Jobst Bittner initiated national prayer movements with more than 60,000 intercessors from different churches and denominations.

At the heart of Jobst Bittner’s messages is the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the personal encounter with Jesus, repentance and sanctification and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jobst Bittner’s book “Breaking the Veil of Silence” was birthed from the struggle with the Nazi past in families and the awareness of the significance of the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. The book has been translated into nine languages and in Germany, it has become a bestseller on the Christian market. In 2007, he started the March of Life movement together with his wife Charlotte. Under the theme “Remembering – Reconciliation – Taking a Stand for Israel and against Antisemitism” they have held events in more than 20 nations and 400 cities.

Jobst Bittner has a degree in Theology from the University of Tübingen, Charlotte has a degree in Ancient History. They have two married sons and live near Tübingen.
