Jobst Bittner is an evangelical theologian, book author and founded TOS Ministries together with his wife Charlotte. In his messages, Jobst Bittner proclaims the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and provides prophetic guidance. As the initiator of March of Life, he has launched a movement that campaigns for Israel worldwide and against antisemitism.
We are an independent, evangelical, charismatic free church, mission society and charity. We believe in the transforming power of the message of Jesus Christ!
According to Acts 1:8, we see our calling on a local, national and international level:
”But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The initial association “Tübinger Offensive Stadtmission” was founded by Jobst and Charlotte Bittner in 1987 as a result of a prayer fellowship with other married couples. After three years of interdenominational services they planted an independant free church in 1990, which today is known by the name of "TOS Church Tübingen". Since 1997, they have been involved in church planting and setting up orphanages in South America, as well as rehab centers for drug addicts and Aids victims in Eastern Europe in ten different countries so far.
TOS Ministries has currently 76 full-time staff, 30 in Germany, 27 in South America, 2 in Israel, 2 in the United States, 4 in Greece, 9 in Belarus and 2 in Siberia. This is the staff located in Tübingen.
