Our son Jannik was born on November 8, 2010 after 25 weeks, almost 4 months prematurely. The pregnancy had been very troubled and he was considered “Very Low Birth Weight” (VLBW) with his birth weight at 910 grams at 33 centimeters. The doctors warned us about the risks of lasting damages as Jannik’s inner organs and eyes were not fully developed yet. They discussed several potentially necessary surgeries of the heart or the intestines. Due to a respiratory infection just prior to his scheduled release from hospital on his 71st day, Jannik had to be put on artificial respiration and total parenteral nutrition again. We knew that the intercessors in our 24/7 prayer were praying for our son day and night and we felt supernatural peace. After 100 days in hospital, Jannik was discharged. He had not needed a single surgery. Even today, his pediatrician attested a “neurological, stato-motoric and cognitive development without any pathological findings”. Size, weight, cranial circumference, vision and all other parameters are absolutely normal. Jannik loves break-dancing and enjoys life to the fullest. He is totally fit and healthy. We are infinitely grateful to God for this miracle!
